We are OPEN!
As of Monday, June 1, our offices will be open and we will be operating as normal (whatever that is!). We do still ask that you respect social distancing and, if our lobby has more than 2 people sitting down, that you please wait outside or in your car until whomever you are meeting with comes into the lobby. As you enter the lobby, please make use of the hand sanitizer station.
Please DO NOT enter our offices if you have a fever, cough, or feel sick. Stay home!
Covid-19 and Taxes
Information as of April 10, 2020 (8:00 am PST):
As stated above, we are open, but if you still feel uncomfortable meeting with people or even just getting out, please feel free to drop off information or to pick up your tax return. You can also mail your information to us or send it via our secure web portal by clicking the “Client File Transfer” link below. We are also happy to take your phone calls with any questions you may have.
Here is what we know regarding filing of tax returns:
The IRS and CALIFORNIA have extended the tax filing deadline to JULY 15, 2020.
If you have a federal or California payment due, you can pay that by JULY 15, 2020, without incurring additional penalties or interest.
The 1st and 2nd estimated tax payments for Federal and California originally due April 15 and June 15 respectively have now both been extended to a due date of July 15, 2020.
The time to fund both IRAs and HSAs has also been extended to July 15, 2020.
If you choose to pay your taxes by July 15, we will NOT be reminding our clients that they are due. This will be your responsibility.
Businesses have until the end of July to file and pay their 1st quarter sales tax with liability under $1 million. INFO HERE
